SONG OF THE TURTLEDOVE

Any potential producers please email to receive lyrics and music.

Freely based on the Biblical Song of Songs. A woman dreams of love and through the depths of her longing, love comes. Passion is celebrated culminating in a wedding ceremony that unites the lovers.

Weaving Sephardic, Flamenco, Jazz and Eastern European Hebraic traditions, the audience is slowly enveloped in an atmosphere both erotic and exotic. Atapestry that becomes an unending song of joy.

Song of The Turtledove was developed at the prestigious Eugene O’Neill Theater Festival and presented at Premieres Music-Theatre Festival at Lincoln Center in NYC.

An exotic mix of classical, jazz and flamenco with music by Sephardic Musical Heritage Award-winner, Gerard Edery, and a libretto and music by Stephen Sondheim Award-winner, Noa Ain.
